A Great Summer Feast

Summer Entertaining is THE BEST… and nothing says summer quite like the smoky-sweet flavor of a backyard BBQ.   So grab your tongs, fire up the grill and enjoy an evening with great food,  family & friends and fun!!!

Let’s start off with a summer salad.  This part of the meal is quick, easy and requires minimal or no cooking, and is a perfect way to enjoy all the fresh produce of the season.

I love this this endive, peach, candied walnut, and blue cheese salad. This irresistible combination is sure to please your palate!

Ingredients: endive – peaches – candied walnuts (or your favorite nut) – blue cheese

Tip:  Toss in some baby arugula for a peppery bite that adds a touch more color to any salad. So Pretty!

Now, let’s talk marinade.  Marinade is probably the most important ingredient to any cookout and there are certainly tons of amazing recipes to choose from.

Tip: Remember the key to grilling meat is to let it marinade for 24 hrs

Right now, I’m loving this BLUEBERRY BALSAMIC GRILLED CHICKEN!  It is sweet, spicy, smoky and packed FULL of flavor & BITE! Get the recipe.

Grilled corn on the cob is a top pick for a barbeque side dish.  The sweet taste of fresh corn is enhanced by grilling in the husks and serving with in a cilantro and lime compound butter.

This is the juiciest, tastiest corn you will ever eat!  Click here for the recipe.

Tip: When choosing fresh corn from the grocery store, select corn with bright green husks and ears with kernels in tightly packed rows and moist, pale yellow silk peeking out of the ear

Let’s be honest, you can’t have a legit BBQ without potato salad.  If  your classic potato salad always seems too heavy-handed… there are a variety of ways to lighten it up without sacrificing flavor.

This Potato Salad recipe has Dill and Horseradish Aioli, it’s lighter then the classic but will tantalized your guests with such vibrant colors and flavors.

The key to a great party is keeping your guests glasses full!  Some of your guests, of course, prefer beer. That part is easy enough. However, what should you make for the non-beer drinkers?

Fruity, sweet, tart or sparkling…we’ve put together a whole Pinterest board of mixed drinks, ice tea drinks, lemonades and so much more!  I promise…there is something for everyone.
